West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS)
The West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS) project was created to ensure standardized data collection and reporting to the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE). The consolidation of individual county computer systems into one networked system has allowed for a reduction in county expenses as well as a more streamlined reporting/data collection process.
WVEIS includes the following systems: Student Management System (SMS), Financial Management System (FMS), Employee Management System (EMS), Human Resources Management System (HMS), and Fixed Assets System (FAS). Applications served through SMS include student scheduling, student attendance, student grading, student discipline, demographic data, and several custom programs. Financial (FMS) and Employee (EMS) applications include payroll processing, human resources, fixed asset inventory and purchasing.
The goal of the WVEIS department at RESA 4 is to provide support and training to the users of WVEIS in our six counties.
